Layering Necklaces
Share
If pre 2019 was the year of stacking rings now is the time to stack necklaces instead.
Layering, stacking, it's even known as ‘a neck mess’ but whatever you want to call it wearing multiple necklaces at once is all the rage right now.
You can buy them 'prestyled' - usually connected at the top as one necklace but hangs as multiple at the front, or buy them in styled sets - individual necklaces sold together the right variety of lengths to combine, or gather up your own favourites and create a stack yourself.
The loose rules to this look are -
Start with a short chain choker.
Use similar metalsWear at least three at a time.
Add length with something like a lariat necklace.
To prevent tangling try heavyweight necklaces or one heavyweight with finer ones. Also add heaviest chain on the top- ie last- to hold the finer chains down.
Sandwich your favourite pendant in the middle.
Consider adding precious gemstones, enamel pendants, or seed bead necklaces

The fine jewellery designers are all over this trend.
Dior, Channel, Tiffanys, - right down to high street stores Oliver Bonas, and Swarovski
