Colours of Autumn
Share
Hurrah! its just changing to Autumn, and all the fabulous colours it brings remind us of the very best coloured gemstones, or at least our most favourite - emeralds, tanzanite, opals, rubies, coloured diamonds, Padparadschas, garnets, verdalites...

According to the latest study by Future Market Insights the coloured gemstone market is growing fast and expected to grow by a further 6% words wide, and 8% across the UK, over the period 2021-2030. This is a huge amount in the gemstone world that has long been reigned by the traditional clear diamond.

The shift comes with more knowledge of difficult/extreme mining operations for diamonds, the lack of excitement over grown ‘fake’ diamonds, and the public embrace of standing out and being different in your choice of jewellery, especially when it comes to engagement rings.

Many of the gemstone minis companies are changing and vastly improving the way they operate, to have a higher level of operational transparency and provide the most ethically sourced coloured gemstones as a result of customer’s shifting objectives.

Here at Almagrove Jewellers we firmly believe the very best way to be environmentally conscious and not support any ‘blood diamond’ trade is to BUY VINTAGE! Fall in love with the original pieces, or reset the stones, create pendants from rings and recirculate the incredible pieces that already exist.
