Rubies
Rubies have been used for decades to represent love, devotion, integrity, courage, vitality, and happiness - sounds like a perfect engagement ring stone to us!
Eva Longoria's round-cut ruby sits in the middle of a diamond halo and was gifted to her by husband Jose Antonio Baston in 2015. We love this look for an engagement ring - completely classic and dateless.
Singer Katy Perry is known for her trendsetting and unique style, so it was only fitting that her engagement ring followed suit. Her (approximately) 2-carat oval ruby ring is set in a halo setting surrounded by 8 white diamonds. While the designer is unknown, the ring is believed to be vintage.
Sapphires
Giving you good reason to pick a sapphire engagement ring, as the stone means honesty, sincerity and faithfulness. It is also believed to provide good fortune within marriage and to keep it strong and healthy.
Catherine, Princess of Wales, - Kate is of course famous for wearing the 18ct sapphire ring that belonged to Princess Diana. The spectacular sapphire is surrounded by 14 diamonds.
Elizabeth Hurleys engagement (that never was a wedding) to Shane Warne was marked with a gorgeous 9ct sapphire with trillion cut diamonds at the side.
Gifted to her in 2010, by husband Javier Bardem, Cruz's vintage ring consists of a three-carat oval sapphire surrounded by diamonds. Whilst 3ct is modest for a top celeb, it is very striking brilliant blue with diamonds arranged to look like beautiful daisy petals.
Princess Eugenie's partner Jack Brooksbank, proposed without a ring, he and Princess Eugenie could work on a design together. They echoed her mother's famous floral-ring and opted for a salmon-pink Padparadscha sapphire surrounded by a halo of diamonds.
During her engagement to Christian Carino, Lady Gaga wore a six-to-seven-carat pink-stone ring that is reportedly a highly desirable pink sapphire.
Emeralds
This colour is associated with wealth, power, and sophistication – all things that celebrities aspire to. In addition, emerald stones are extremely rare. They are actually rarer than diamonds, and for centuries royalty, and more recently celebrities, have used this to show off their wealth and status.
American Actress Megan Fox accepted an unusual but incredible two stone emerald and diamond ring from Colson Baker aka Machine Gun Kelly, in January 2022.
Hilary Swank has an emerald cut emerald ring, from former professional tennis player Ruben Torres.

Anna Kournikova's breathtaking pink pear-shaped diamond comes in at 11-carats, The diamond was reportedly sourced from Western Australia and set Enrique Iglesias back more than $2.5 million USD.
Jennifer Lopez’s (second!) engagement to Ben Affleck was marked with a 8.5ct green diamond designed by Rahaminov Diamonds. Estimated at almost $10million !
